Janet Jackson Is Gotham. Shares Lessons Learned From Michael Jackson's Passing

Janet Jackson graces the next cover of Gotham magazine. She, talks about Michael Jackson, her new album and even a new book that she's soon to be releasing. Highlights:

On what she’s taken from Michael’s death:

“When you hear people say life goes on, it’s really the truth. You can’t stop living. It becomes a part of you. I feel a bit selfish because there are times I feel I shouldn’t be doing this, but I enjoy my work and I have to keep doing it. I have to keep my life going. There are days that are harder than others.”

On her New Year’s resolutions:

“I want to learn a language. I haven’t decided which, but it’s between French, Spanish and Italian. I also want to get
closer to God.”

On her new album:

“It’s going to be a little different. The writing is about life experiences. There’s a part of me that’s craving escapism, which is a sense of wanting to keep on moving with my work but also of coming to terms with reality. So I think it will be upbeat and light.”

On her new book:

“I hope it’s inspiring for all ages. I’m talking about weight loss, confidence, self-esteem—especially in your youth. It’s not an autobiography, but there are little anecdotes that I give here and there from my childhood all the way to the present that I thought would be interesting and helpful to share.”

On what she loves about New York:

“Everything. I love the energy–the creative energy. I’ve been here for 12 years and I will be here for the rest of my life.”

Wonder if she's taking any part in raising her brothers 3 kids? Miss Jackson is looking real good. Are you looking forward to her new album?

Some Killer's Actions Are Puzzling; Kill, Stuff Body In Suitcase, Turn Self To Cops?

The picture above is of a suitcase with a dead man in it, it was found on Thurday, the man was killed by this man Michael-Andrew Garreau.

When I heard this story I was left puzzled. A 33 year old Ottawa man killed his 29 year old Israeli partner/lover, proceeded to stuff the dead lover into a suitcase, drove all the way to Montreal and dumped the suitcase with his just killed lover on to the snowed out side street, he however left the dead lover's foot poking out of the suitcase, a passerby saw the hanging foot early Thursday morning and called the police. Word quickly went to the news and the killer promptly (15 hrs after body was found) called the cops and reported himself for having committed the crime, he then waited at his home as the cops went and picked him up..... truly bizarre.

I mean if you're going to commit murder why dump the dead body on the side of the street, in plain view leaving a foot hanging out? And then promptly turn yourself in for committing the crime? Did he set it up this way so as to gain a defense of “crime of passion” or “temporary insanity”? Or is he just a dumb killer? His actions are puzzling but then again no murder/er makes sense ever…

In true Canadian fashion, the killer is being charged with 2nd degree murder, huh? He killed a man and turned himself in shouldn't he be charged with 1st degree murder? Just watch, he'll probably end up with only 10years in prison and be out in less than that… Canada's justice system is known to truly suck.....Domestic violence in Same-sex relationships is just as prevalent as in hetro-relationships…the statistics are alarming both are at 25%, many go unreported until something like this happens.

The Convenient Ku Klux Klan Tendencies Of Rush Limbaugh

This is Rush Limbaugh of George Bush era

We see all these pictures. There is human suffering. We are Americans, and this is what we have always done, and we are always going to do it… There's doing the right thing regardless of consequences and regardless of extraneous circumstances, and this is one of those things. These are human beings in need. There's nobody else that can do this, and we are going to do it. That is who we are, and we are not going to have strings attached to it, and we may in fact not be thanked, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it, because we're not doing it for that reason. We're not doing it for gratitude; we're not doing it for support. We're not doing it for love; we're not doing it for loyalty. You might say we're doing it for love. We're doing it because it's the right thing to do. That's who we are as a people. You don't have to give individually if you don't want to but there will not be a movement – there may be a movement but it will have no life – to dissuade people from donating. It's going to be just the opposite.

-Rush Limbaugh, January 3, 2005 in the aftermath of the tsunami

Back then, the moral and upstanding people of the United States would help the countries torn apart by the tsunami on December 26, 2004.

But that's not the Rush we see today. This is him in the now, with the Haiti tragedy: Mr. Limbaugh wasted no time trying to turn the horrific tragedy in Haiti into a most unfortunate and gross partisan attack on the very people working around the clock to save as many lives as possible:

[Paraphrased via Media Matters here and here] I want you to remember, it took [Obama] three days – three days! – to respond to the Christmas Day fruit of ka-boom bomber … He comes out here in less than 24 hours to speak about Haiti … [later in same program] … they'll use this to burnish ahhh their, ahhh shall we say, ahhh credibility with the black community, both the light skinned and, ahhh, hmmm … dark skinned black community …

Yes for Rush Limbaugh, at this very moment the streets of Haiti's capital are littered with bodies of the dead and dying. Thousands of men, women, and children – including an unknown number of Americans – buried alive under tons of rubble, many no doubt crying out in agony for help that will come too late this racist Limbaugh doesn't even have the decency to wait for them to finish dying before equating their death and suffering to an incident where no one got a scratch except the bad guy.

Today, Rush sees America as an amoral socialist pariah ill-suited to helping a neighbor. What changed from the Tsumani days to today? Why. Obama happened. To Rush no matter the issue or the humanity required he is out for just one thing, score political points even while the rest of America is horrified by what they see on TV, the masses of dead people on the streets of Haiti and look for ways to help. To Rush those are what mere black people why care? right? Rush cares only about himself, he's nothing more than the morning show shock jock who has transferred his ability to generate controversy to the AM talk radio format.

I was recently chatting with someone who wished Rush Limbaugh would die already or better yet get throat cancer so that he is never able to speak again so that he doesn't continue to use his podium for hate. That got me thinking of something a relative once said to me; “evil people die last, good people die first”

Rush Limbaugh ain't dying any time soon, he will continue to use his free speech to spew and encourage hate for anyone who does not look like him or does not agree with him and in fact get paid 400million for several years to continue to do so. Since Obama won, Rush has gotten more hateful driven by fear and greed, he's getting worse and that can last only so long. Even his most loyal listeners will end up drawing a line somewhere someday… could be soon or could take 10 years but Limbaugh will implode and will do so spectacularly.

Makes you wonder, Rush is on radio because he has sponsors do those sponsors ascribe to what Rush says and believes? If not shouldn't they take a stand against it? I've always believed that if one sees something wrong being done and says nothing, that person is just as guilty as the one doing wrong.

Kelis Responds To PETA: Kiss My Black Ass!

Before there were the many imitations (read Rihanna, Keri Hilson etc) you see waltzing around, there was Kelis; She was the original, she owned and commanded fully the “edgy” fashionista artist… She was and is bold, fearless and generally doesn't give a sh*t what anyone says or thinks of her.  Most of the new faces and their fashion choices  or “edginess” is a direct copy of what Kelis has already done… nothing new, its not even a reinvention, its a direct copy of what Kelis has done in the past and still does today.

Anyfashionistawho…Kelis was papped in NY recently clad in far, as always PETA sprung into action with their “scare and embarrass and guilt” tactics, writing a letter to Kelis lecturing her about her wearing fur. Upon receiving that letter Kelis decided to stand up for herself and clap right back writing this letter back to PETA

Good morning all!

Ok, so you’re gonna love this. The other day I got a personalized letter from PETA! Lol so after some thought I've decided to write one back. Goes a little something like this:

There is no humane way to kill anything, let me start there. It’s unfortunate but it’s part of life. With that being said, I would eat pterodactyl if you found some and you told me it was meaty and delicious. And after doing a very minimal amount of research....... I found out that the founder Ingrid Newkirk is completely batty. I had a feeling but she far exceeded my expectations. I mean certifiably insane! Lol this chicks will is nuts, google it – it’s a riot! Beyond the fact that I think she's a diabetic, which means she needs insulin, which is taken from lab pigs (I know this because my sister happens to be in veterinary school), which would be completely hypocritical. It’s like don't abuse animals unless it can help me.

I feel very strongly about a lot of things such as the sweatshops that spin cotton and the blood on their hands. Btw it’s not just the look of fur. It’s warm as hell and feels glorious, ever rubbed faux fur on your body? Nothing luxurious about that. Then the letter proceeded to name artist and designers who don't wear real fur. Great! More for me! I don't judge them, don't judge me.

If I started wearing endangered animals like polar bear or orangutan then talk to me. (Which btw for the record I would not – I do believe in the preservation of endangered species) But the minks and chinchilla that quite honestly are rodents and if weren't in the form of a coat I would demand they be put to death anyway are not an issue to me.

The death of high fashion. Ugh.

I eat meat, and in fact my mouth salivates as I type the word meat! And the paint throwing that's just ridiculous! What if I was hurling Loubitons and Pierre Hardy's at every sad poorly dressed person on the street? As right as I may be it’s just fanatical and crazy. And people have the right to feel as they please. What about art? Survival of the fittest. Natural selection? No let's just let all the rodents run free and over take our cities. Oh wait they have, NY and LA in particular are infested! Why don't u save them all from scavenging on the streets and ruining my evening strolls, take them home. Make them pets! Get off my back! Pun intended!

Underpaid minorities picking your vegetables, now that's fine for you right? Please, fight for their rights. How about the poverty in the communities of brown people around the world. She had the nerve to say (and I quote) “get over it” talking of the issue of black people and slavery in this country verses cows being slaughtered. Is she kidding me? Lol yes she must be. Actually, she's lucky most black people have real issues to worry about in the U.S and don't give a crap what her delusional privileged opinions are. But she should try saying that again just for kicks n giggles on the corner of Adam Clayton Powell Blvd in Harlem n see how well people “get over it” lol.

If u want to preach do it about something worthwhile don't waste my time trying to save the dang chipmunk.

Find a worthwhile cause like the women being maimed in these Middle Eastern countries. Or female circumcision. Or women's rights here in America, we still get paid less for doing the same jobs as men. Quite honestly if you hate the world so much go live in the forest where no one else has to hear you complain about the perfectly good food chain the good Lord created. Everyone has the right to an opinion, and that's mine on that! xoxo

Girl has some good points here, and bravo to her for standing up for herself and her opinions and doing that in a decent manner. On the basic, I ache to understand the need to protect rodents and vermins, endangered species, and wildlife yes but rodents? I'm a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but no one has the right to impose those opinions on others, whether it's about religion, politics, the wearing of fur or eating meat. PETA to me has become one of those organizations that exists only to exit but has ceased being effective in their cause.

That said, I didn't mind PETA that much until until they pulled that most unimaginable and just vile stunt comparing the murder and beheading of a Canadian guy on the greyhound bus to butchering cows. They went as far as trying to get their silly comparison in the local paper where his family lived. Click below to see PETA's stupidity
