24Million Men W/No Spouses In China by 2010? The Why & Danger It Poses To Women

In 10 years there will be no women in China available for almost 24million Chinese men to marry; this is being reported by Chinese State Media (a big deal since China always hides facts like this). The reason for this stems from the 1 child rule that resulted in women/family's aborting their girl children to instead have boys because boys were seen has having greater earning potential.

The study, by the government-backed Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, named the gender imbalance among newborns as the most serious demographic problem for the country's population of 1.3 billion, the Global Times said.

“Sex-specific abortions remained extremely commonplace, especially in rural areas,” where the cultural preference for boys over girls is strongest, the study said, while noting the reasons for the gender imbalance were “complex.”

Researcher Wang Guangzhou said the skewed birth ratio could lead to difficulties for men with lower incomes in finding spouses, as well as a widening age gap between partners, according to the Global Times.

Another researcher quoted by the newspaper, Wang Yuesheng, said men in poorer parts of China would be forced to accept marriages late in life or remain single for life, which could “cause a break in family lines.”

“The chance of getting married will be rare if a man is more than 40 years old in the countryside. They will be more dependent on social security as they age and have fewer household resources to rely on,” Wang said.

The study said the key contributing factors to the phenomenon included the nation's family-planning policy, which restricts the number of children citizens may have, as well as an insufficient social security system.

The situation influenced people to seek male offspring, who are preferred for their greater earning potential as adults and thus their ability to care for their elderly parents.

The Global Times said abductions and trafficking of women were “rampant” in areas with excess numbers of men, citing the National Population and Family Planning Commission.

Illegal marriages and forced prostitution were also problems in those areas, it said.

That chicken is now coming home to roost with result being men will have no women to marry and then women will become a commodity -again- sold to highest bidders for marriage.

So lets see how this is going to play out…this should be a boon for the many “rent/buy” a bride services (internationally).

Since the “rent/buy a bride” service will not be enough for the 24million and counting men, the system will revert to women and girls in China (Asia Pacific) becoming commodities, women, typically poor and from the rural villages, will now be forced to abort boys and have girls as a way to get dowry and riches from eager women-less men waiting to marry them, these men will usually be much older and of course richer. Of course the cycle with then repeat itself as time goes by.

India's shame of female fetal abortion

Part II on YouTube:

Same issue that will have the same result as what's happening in China.

China imposed the one child rule to control population growth, that lead to girl abortions that's resulting in many things now least of all being a large portion of men will now have no women to marry and have families with. India's dowry culture had the same effect leading to girl abortions and resulting in the same issues that China faces now and into future of a shortage of girls. That shortage poses a danger for young girls now and will get worse as time goes by. It will drive up human trafficking and the selling of females on a greater scale than is now happening.

Thoughts? Do you agree or is the lack of women for these two large countries a way of correcting their huge population issues?
