After several delays, Lady GaGa finally released her “Telephone” music video that features Beyonce. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund it appears the video is inspired by everything… from Thelma & Louise to everything else Tarantino starting with the Kill Bill films.

It’s certainly entertaining (pussy boat, Beyonce's motherfucker, etc) and yet very underwhelming, quite over produced. GaGa and Beyonce are both wonderfully talented artists however this video is about 5 minutes too long, too busy, over the top, lacks any plot, and has little connection or cohesiveness with the actual lyrics of the song.

In Gaga's effort to make it an “event” you're left feeling as though its snippets of different videos spliced together to make this one with strong lesbian undertones made just for the “controversy/water cooler chats” effect. Both ladies acting, even if it was supposed to be intentionally bad is actually beyond bad, Beyonce's speech leaves very little to be desired.

“Telephone” is certainly better than Beyonce's “Video Phone” that featured Gaga; however it’s outdone by Gaga's "Bad Romance”.

“Telephone” was hyped as something “EPIC”. The difference between this, and Michael Jackson‘s epic videos … is the simplicity, uniqueness, cohesiveness of/with the song, the truly incredible dancing that worked together to make Michael Jackson’s videos enjoyable and memorable. An epic is something that people will know and remember for generations. Michael Jackson's Thriller, Ghost, Bad, Billie Jean etc  videos will be studied and enjoyed for decades to come, Telephone will be forgotten in 2 years.

So did it live up to your expectations?

Dear Lady Gaga,

I know you NEED me exposed in the name of “art” to make money,… that is ridiculous, an oxymoron, if you ask me, I mean what happened to actual talent, substance and real artistry? A voice and real dancing to showcase your abilities? I digress, I have allowed you to do so on many occasions… with an agreement that you would gradually start using your booblets, exposing them more than me, they are small no doubt but Shakira manages to use them just the same… see… I am now filled with Mr. Yeast Infection due to your hideous Grammy Awards outfit that strangled the ehmm.. beans that should normally keep me safe, dry and clean, they couldn't breath you see… from both directions ..and now I am left feeling “unpretty” all itchy, stuffy and congested by Mr Yeast Infection. It's not cute, not fun or funny. Please stop.

Rihanna rocked a 2 Million dollar New Year’s Eve Concert In Abu Dhabi

RiRi sang performed for over 10,000 fans who had paid $110 each to crowd onto the lawns outside Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace to watch the two hour gig.

During the concert, RiRi sang all her big hits, including SOS, Don't Stop The Music and Hate That I Love You, she closed the show with her mega-hit Umbrella.

It also seems RiRi's Rated R is doing quite alright sales wise; the album sold 209k worldwide this past week bringing the album sales to the 1 million mark, having been out for only five weeks thats quite the accomplishment given that the singles she's released so far didn't do as well as her ealier album singles did. Her next single is rumored to be “Rude Boy”.

Lady Gaga's had a New Year's party in Miami that outsold all other celeb bashes according to the NYpost.com. Well Duh, LG is currently THE HOTTEST act in town so that's to be expected for now until someone else emerges in a few months? a year?

Anywho, LG's party had all the usual young Hollywood in attendance that don't warrant mentioning here..... Gaga sang 4 of her mega hits that included Bad Romance from her Fame Monster album

She is special. Quite EXTRA.

Beyonce also had her own 2 million dollar(?) performance at Nikki Beach Restaurant on St Barts for the Roman Abramovich's party which apparently for the Son of Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi. 

Among the crowd watching Bey's show were her husband Jay-Z, Usher, and Jon Bon Jovi.

 Back in NY Black Eyed Peas with Fergie, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke performed at Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve party 

Keri Hilson sang her new single “I Like” as well as performing her two hit singles “Turnin’ Me On” and “Knock You Down”,

Black Eyed Peas performed their hit “Meet Me Half Way” and Robin Thicke sung “Sex Therapy”.

Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce “I Am …” concert in the Spain sold out just hours after tickets went on sale for the event. The concert willl be held in the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain. The VIP passes, priced at $1, 600 TT ($254 US) sold out in record time, the rest of the tickets went just as fast. Beyonce will be performing in the 25, 000 person venue on February 18th, 2010.

In other Beyonce news, Lady Gaga is working on a concept for the video for their collaborative song “Telephone”. Gaga talked about the video recently while participating in the Itunes Celebrity Playlist Podcast saying:

“I’m in the middle of writing the treatment for the video (‘Telephone’) so I have the song on my mind and I have been speaking with everyone that I’m working on the video with and pitching to everybody the treatment that I’ve come up with and it’s very, very exciting. So to all my little monsters who are listening I can’t wait for you to see it.” {Source}

It will be interesting to see this video, their ‘Video Phone’ collaborated video was highly anticipated however didn't do that well ending in a bit of a disappointment not quite matching the hype before it was released.

However these two ladies are currently the hottest music stars, hopefully the “Telephone” video will do better than “Video Phone” did. My favourite song/video collaboration so far for Beyonce has been the “Beautiful Liar” with Shakira.

and then performed “Party in the USA” like this, crouch grab and part ass hanging out… yes again this child is how old? and this is how she performed for the queen… She's the next Lindsay Lohan… or “crazy” Britney… its coming..

Lady Gaga also met the queen as an artist in costume yet chose costume that kept her covered and greeted the queen with respect as is protocal…

She also performed, her outfit was inpired by the Queen and made the gays happy given its a 20inch long leather red gown…
