I've always liked Victoria Beckham's interviews, she generally comes across as witty with an ability to make fun of herself, taking herself less seriously than most celebrities … yet she just said something to a magazine that gave her away as being delusional when it comes to her body size. Victoria B is currently promoting her “fashion” line she was interviewed by 10 Magazine where she quipped:

'My dresses are for women of all different shapes and sizes.

‘Actually, the one I tried on yesterday was the one Jennifer wore. And who’d have thought I'd be the same size as Jennifer Lopez!'

Really? Can you imagine the look on that interviewers face when those words came flying out of Posh's mouth as s/he was seated there looking at the sausage sized Victoria deluding herself that she is the same size as J-Lo? I wonder if the interviewer exused themselves dashing into the loo and burst out laughing until tears were rolling of their face or if they just stayed stone faced finding something to say quickly so as not to give away their sheer amazement at VB's delusions?… I mean that's like Nicole Ritchie saying she can fit in Mariah Carey's dress and so she and Mariah must be the same size!

Mrs Mariah Carey Cannon covers this months Observer magazine and gives an interesting interview. Highlights;

On her role in Precious:
“I spent as much time as I could getting into it,” Carey says. “She is supposed to be exhausted, so it didn’t matter that I stayed up… I really did the best I could to morph into this woman who goes into this office every day and deals with people needing something from her, trying to get things from her, maybe being disingenuous.”

On her insecurity:
“I am very insecure about my looks, and I always have been because of being mixed race [Carey's mother is Irish-American and her father was an African-American of Venezuelan descent]. It’s not so weird now, and everyone’s accepting it in a big way, but as a child I felt very, um, out of place and didn’t feel pretty. So taking on that character and having Lee make me older in the way he did, I guess it was freeing because I didn’t have to try in any way to look pretty, and you know, when you grow up with that type of insecurity you don’t always feel pretty.”

On her family:
“I don’t want to go into my family stuff, but there were very difficult things that took place. I think certain people like to torture me because they think I’ve had it easier than I actually have and they think: ‘Oh, she’s got this, she’s got that, she’s always had everything perfect’ and it’s sooo not true. You know, I really relate to this movie in a lot of ways.”

On her racial identity:
“Usually the black community knew that I was black, but white people didn’t always – they hadn’t always experienced being around people who were half-black, half-white and who looked more white. My mum’s very, very Irish and my father was light-skinned, so I turned out the way I turned out.”

On whether she still experiences racism:
“Yes. It’ll be a mild thing that I’ll get over, but a friend said to me the other day: ‘Oh yeah, you’ll like her –she’s like you, she’s got a black husband’ [Carey married the 28-year-old actor Nick Cannon last year]. And I’m like: ‘How many times do I have to tell you – my father was black. My mother’s white. In this country that makes you black, do you understand? I know I’m very light-skinned, but stop doing that!’ It’s one of those things that the world doesn’t quite understand. When I first came to Europe, everybody was asking me: ‘Why do you always have black people in your music videos?’ And I was like, errm, how do I answer this one?”

Lady Beyonce has been catching some heat, critisism for her New Years performance for the son of Mouammar Kadhafi in St. Barts.

Mouammar Kadhafi is the dictator president of Libya who the US views and has pegged for being and aiding terrorists. Check out his Wiki if you want to read more about his brutal ways. Kadhafi has several sons, one of them is Moutassim Bilal “Hannibal” Gaddafi he is certifiably insane, as in evil in the same vain as Saddam Husein's sons were, terrorising women, beating them up, breaking international rules where his dad steps in and bails him out by threatening to withhold contracts and such…etc.

Anyways, Bee was paid upto $2mil to perform at a restaurant for a party hosted by one of the Kadhafi son's since she's been getting heat for that today her father manager made her PR team clap back on those accusations with this statement.

The party in St. Bart’s on New Year’s Eve, with Beyoncé in performance, was hosted by Muatsim-Billah Gaddafi, not his brother Moutassim Bilal “Hannibal” Gaddafi, as reported in the press.

Her agents and management firm made the decision to confirm the private performance. The annual party had a long history of booking internationally known artists both American and foreign for events around the world, including Cannes.

Past performers in St. Bart’s have included Timbaland, Enrique Iglesias and Mariah Carey. Guests at this year’s party included singer Usher, former BET CEO Bob Johnson, actress Lindsay Lohan and music industry vets, Russell Simmons, Kevin Liles and L.A. Reid.

Translation; yes we got money to perform for a maybe terrorist but to be clear it was the “good” son of a terrorist, not the “evil” one..... and anyways Bee's booking team booked her for it, she only agreed to do it or was she forced to do it? moreover, well, Mariah has done it and Enrique did too..... so there can't be that bad.

Oh well, its done can't be undone, people should move on to other things.

Mariah Carey showed up at the Springs International Film Festival several days ago to receive an acting award – Breakthrough Performance – for her role in Precious. She accepted the award with a drunken speech as you can see below:

          

Last night at the People Choice Awards, where she also got an award for for R&B artist of the year, she explained to reporters what lead to her drunken speech

“We’d been sitting there celebrating this whole time, having little splashes [of champagne], I hadn’t eaten, I pulled up, I didn’t want to be late so I rushed in, and that’s what it was.”

“If people don’t understand me and just think I’m this girl that stands by a microphone and sings ‘Hero,’ then they’re definitely not going to get me,” “But if people knew me they'd understand and have a sense of humor. And basically that's what gets me through life.”

On her being drunk, Lee Daniels, who presented her the award, was to blame. “The thing is, me and Lee hadn't seen each other in a while,” she explains. “I love Lee, but he's a bad influence!”

It seems to me everyone made a big deal out of really nothing… the acceptance speech is not as CRAZY as its made out to be, I love Mariah because she's just herself and doesn't apologize for it.

Freshly back from a Christmas holiday in Aspen and receiving an acting award in Capri for her supporting role in “Precious” Mariah Carey performed a sold out show for NYE at the Madison Square Gardens. Her husband Nick Cannon was on hand to support his dear wife of course.

MCC looks beautiful, she's practically been glowing ever since she married Nick Cannon, its the happiest she's looked for the longest time. She's also been everywhere promoting her movie Precious and her current album.

From these pix I bet the “Mariah is pregnant” rumors will be amplified. She may be pregnant or perhaps she's just happy, comfortable with herself and not worrying too much about her body anymore. Either way I think Mariah's body is fine, the issue is her extremely tight clothes that she insists on wearing. She's a big boned girl, the extra tight outfits are making her look pregnant. Sigh, what's with her stylist?
