A Ramble or Two
Wow, the inaugural post.
A bit daunting, no? Will my formatting be correct? Is my subject line also the name of the diary? Will I ever learn to do things without questioning everything first?
The only way I'm going to do this is to dive right in so I figure I'd best give an introduction and tell you a bit about myself.
I'm a bit of a scatterbrain.
So much so that I can't give a nice cohesive thesis statement about what my blog will be about. I have to take a lot of public transit and, therefore, tend to have a lot of time on my hands to muse about very random things. Friends who know me well can usually anticipate the WHOOSH that accompanies me when I finally meet them at a restaurant. I usually have to prattle for at least 10 minutes about whatever inane thing had been pent up inside for the past few hours, accompanied by a lot of hand flailing. I'm going to guess that many of my posts will fall into this WHOOSH category.
I'm a bit of a klutz.
I've amassed many stories in my life that cause a giggle or a jaw-drop. I can't explain how I get myself into these situations except that I am, by nature, a klutz. I WILL knock over the most expensive heirloom vase your dead forefathers stowed away on a boat coming over here. The best I can do is make sure I'm sat next to the Walmart knockoff instead. Be prepared for stories that will make you cringe and hide your valuables.
I'm obsessed with nutrition and food.
But I can't cook. This leads to either a lot of fact-spewing or tales of burnt, smelly things. I will try to take pictures.
This is beginning to sound more and more like the post of shame but introductions are often awkward, no?
Happy Blogging!
