Kelly Rowland headlines Sir Elton John Charity Event, gives X-Factor winner advice & more!

Kelly Rowland attended the Grey Goose Character and Cocktails, Elton John Winter Ball this past weekend looking stunning in a blue Basil Soda Fall 2009 Couture collection. Miss Kelly headlined the event and performed a 45-minute live set at the party that included Destiny’s Child medley as well as her world smash hit “When Love Takes Over” at the request of Mr Elton John himself…

All proceeds from the event went to the Elton John Aids Foundation. More pics and a performance.

Kelly also got interviewed at the event by the Times Online UK,  in which she had advise for the X-Factor winner and thoughts on the Destiny's child “cheating” suit;

Her advise for the X-Factor winner:

“It took Destiny’s Child six years to get a record deal. Sometimes there is a waiting list and you have to struggle and have patience.

“Personally, I think that strengthens you and makes you better and more appreciative when you get there. I hope all the X Factor finalists appreciate that and know that there’s somebody ready and willing to take their spot. So it’s important to always have that passion and love for music.”

Kelly dismissed the X-Factor judging rumor saying “It would be really cool but I’m focused on my third album right now.”

Kelly is frustrated with the number of lawsuits that Destiny's Child continues to attract like the copyright infringement claim that has now been settled.

“It’s these things that make us stronger. Some things are public and some things are private. But in our case it just happens under a fricking microscope,”
