Kelly Rowland to replace Dannii Minogue on X-Factor?.. & More Kelly Rowland news!

The DailyMail reports that singer Dannii Minogue might leave the X-Factor judging panel (the VERY popular British counterpart of American Idol). Kelly and singer Melanie Brown are rumored to replace Minogue.

Simon Cowell is secretly lining up ex-Spice Girl Mel B to replace Dannii Minogue on the X Factor next year, it was claimed last night.

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, 28, is also being considered for the job, according to the Daily Mirror.

Kelly Rowland was tipped to take over from Dannii when it looked like she may leave earlier this year and was invited to Simon’s 50th birthday party.

The source added: ‘Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is highly likely Dannii won’t be on the panel next year and Simon is already thinking about a replacement.’

I say this is only a rumor, Kelly Rowland is currently in studio finishing up her 3rd album of which she has announced will be coming out next summer… taking the X-Factor job would complicate her promotion and her intended tour… unless she and Melanie alternate being judges… maybe?

In other Kelly news its been confirmed that Elton John asked Kelly to perform at the annual Elton John Aids Foundation fundraiser in the West End, London this weekend. Elton John asked her to perform a Destiny’s Child medley.
